Each person has a unique balance of physiological, energetic, emotional, mental, psychological and environmental factors that form the bodymind complex. When in balance, the body is capable of healing itself at all the aforementioned levels. This automatic, self-guided healing process is part of the body's natural inborn intelligence, or "innate wisdom". This innate wisdom guides the overall functioning of the bodymind complex by synchronizing all activities and maintaining homeostasis within the bodymind complex - as evidenced by the healing process that is automatically initiated when a person cuts a finger.
BodyTalk is a natural holistic whole health-care system, which is designed to work with, and support, your bodies’ natural innate wisdom to repair and restore itself. BodyTalk is designed to address the “whole person”. This means that no aspect of the human experience can be overlooked.
Illnesses, conditions, and symptoms develop when the bodymind complex is no longer in a balanced state. When an individual experiences ongoing stresses (be it environmental, psychological, emotional, mental or physical), the body is no longer able to heal and function as it should. Should an individual continue to function in this stressed state, this will lead to degeneration, illness and pain in the body. These symptoms signal the body is falling behind in its healing process.
BodyTalk sessions are designed to find the underlying issues an individual has and re-establish and re-connect the lines of communication within all body systems, which enable the bodies’ internal mechanisms to function at optimal level. Thus, restoring balance in the bodymind complex.
BodyTalk sessions are easy, safe and comfortable. Your practitioner facilitates the re-establishment of communication within the body through neuromuscular biofeedback - a form of muscle checking to determine what aspects of the client’s bodymind need to be balanced and in what order of priority. This allows the practitioner to investigate and locate the imbalances (i.e. not communicating properly) within the body that are a priority and which need to be rebalanced to the rest of the body. The Bodytalk practitioner is in essence reminding the bodymind to return itself to optimal functioning. Tapping is used on the body to implement change. Tapping will be done over the body’s 3 brains.
A BodyTalk session usually lasts anything between 30 and 60 minutes. The length of a session is not indicative of the quality of the session or the results that occur; as even the simplest sessions can be quite profound. The bodymind knows just how many changes and corrections it is ready to initiate in any given session and will therefore indicate when the session is complete and may even establish a time when you may need to return for a follow-up session.
BodyTalk can be used as a standalone system that can:
- Address many health symptoms,
- Enhance Athletic & Personal Performance for sports professionals, athletes, personal and competitive activities, and goals, and
- Agenda sessions for events in our lives,
- Seamlessly integrate into and complement modern medicine and other healing modalities, to treat your whole system.
A Bodytalk practitioner will not diagnose any symptom or ailment; however clinical experience has shown that once a person’s overall systems are balanced through Bodytalk, the body’s ability to heal itself is re-affirmed.
